Our Heritage
One by one it has to be written
The history of the decomposed corpse
Only, for the sake of the proof of our Heritage.
Our’s is a hard earned Heritage.
One to be handed down
to future generations
as cherished as a family heritage.
It was paid for by our forefathers,
their blood spilled upon
miles of land, foreign and domestic,
by young and old alike,
fighting for what they believed in,
willing to die to protect it,
to be able to pass it on.
Many in this world despise us
because of this Heritage.
Is it hatred or jealousy?
Who knows for sure?
I have seen the worlds without it.
They are awkwardest places.
All I know,
what we have is precious.
It is to be protected
at all costs.
Oh, The Indigenous people of Heritage
Take a look back,
Look at my dark world,
where today our beautiful building is adorned,
Wherever I can still hear each of my sweaty moans.
