__Poetry
they say it is poetry,
when a man dresses himself in torn blouse
scattered hair with tears finding way to his feet
to express the pain of an
innocent girl whose pride was eaten by men with hungry rods
they say it is poetry,
when the mirror on the wall no longer show your beauty
rather the reflections of pains that are hidden in your closet
the broken pieces of your heart in the trashcan on your doorsteps
& the countless drops of tears your pillow has swallowed
they say it is poetry,
when a man writes of his pains
& another man feels it in his chest & in his head
holding him down to see the treasure in golden coffin,
telling him the world is not a better place to live
it is poetry,
when the writer puts his emotions into words
words into pictures
pictures that describe boys with combined colors shower slippers in west point
& the tears of drainages pouring between their toes
pictures that describe teenage girl with pregnancy who’s at the brink of suicide
yes, it is poetry,
when it is pure,
when it is beautiful,
when it speaks of pain & happiness, love & hate, depressions, heartbreaks or nature
when it shows you the color of the wind instead of the sound.
