NOTHING LASTS FOREVER
In my brokenness
I uplift the burdened heart
In my loneliness
I comfort the abadoned
Because I have a soul
That is not lost in vanity.
In silence
Again and again
I find that
One of the things
That gives me
Soft – yet – firm
State of soul.
I become silent
And my eyes whisper
Into the jagged walls
The whispers echo
Jaded pain as my heart
Throb to bury
My spirit in sham bliss
People say nothing lasts for ever
That is a silence I pursue.
