Untitled
Kneeling down in recitation
Of my ancestoral names,
Names etched on my heart
In ashes of a yellow wood,
Conjuring up
A spirit of the forefathers
And stories of far bygone days,
Stirring forgotten memories
Evoking thoughts and dreams
Spanning the passage of time
When the sun leapt across the sky
Then a moon appeared
With a smile behind
the flimsy shadow of a cloud
Upon a rainless night,
Unraveling mystries of the darkness
I might have felt a hand
Or saw a man,
Before I was carried into space
And all ten thousand stars
In pursuit of the light
Followed in flight
As we blended in the light
In savoury of enlightenment.
