*The Rhythm of Summer–Krishna Chamling*

The Rhythm of Summer ______________________

The longest day is the summer solstice
followed by the warmest balmy evenings are
welcomed with the rattling chirps of
crickets… the circling, gliding of barn bats
in the peaceful home-yards of the short nights.

Active and impressive is the summer days
as nature like bee busy growing flowers
and fruits in the green-carpeted farms, floras
and faunas invite fluttering butterflies
in the season of kisses, love, and happiness.

Angry are June, July, and August thunders spell
the monsoon of heavy rains make rivers, falls
roar in floods under the blankets of clouds, but
altering its rhythm appears the wandering sun
holding its rainbow curtain in the horizon sleeps.

  1. The Rhythm of Summer ..Krishna ….

If I had not lived for five years in the Eastern sub continent , I would not be able to appreciate the accuracy of the letters on this spectaculat poem written by Krishna Chambling.

From beginning to end it’s a reality.
Solstice days are in summer time.
Happines, flowers blooming, bees sowing seeds and fruit bats are all around on the happy days of summer time.
The angry times are June July and August .
The monsoon bring so much water, rains all day and the enormus quantity of water floods the rivers and destroys houses, plantations, and the poor people suffer hell everyday.
Temperatures are so high people cannot sleep at night. Hammocks are
on the house’s roofs, they cannot afford fans or watercools electric motors. Poors suffer in winter, and in summer. They don’t have four seasons, they can’t even afford four. They have less than others, we found only two. They die of heat or cold.

  2. Your style is really unique in comparison to other people I’ve read stuff from.
Thanks for posting when you’ve got the opportunity, Guess I will just book mark this page.
