Dr.Paramita Mukherjee Mullick is a scientist by education with a Ph.D. in Genetic Toxicology,educationist by profession and an author and poet by passion. She has published five books and two are in the process of publication. She is the Founder President of the Intercultural Poetry and Performance Library(IPPL) Mumbai Chapter. Some of her poems have been translated into 31 languages and her poems published in more than 300 national and International anthologies.She has received numerous awards for her poems like Sahitya Shree,Sahitya Samman,Sahitya Bhushan,Poetess of Elegance 2019,Master of Creative Genius,Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore Award and many more.She received the Gold Rose from Argentina for promoting literature and culture last year in the World Congress of Poets. Paramita was the Executive Editor of Kafla Intercontinental,an internatuonal journal of literature,art and culture and also the Executive Director of the International Writers’ Festival conducted by Kafla. She is an advocate of peace and organises a lot of peace meets like in January 2020 she curated the Multilingual Peace Poetry Marathon of 50 poets. In 2019 she coordinated the World Festival of Poetry in Mumbai when 160 countries read peace poems all over the world. She lives in Mumbai.
