A Summer Song
It’s too hot, too dry
The scorching sun takes a sigh
On the leafless branches
And under the lifeless grasses
Remains the ashes of spring
And above a thorny bush
A lonely dove sings a mourning song
The ghost of rain roams around
Deserted streets and
One thought comes to my mind –
If there was no summer at all
How could clouds sail
In the sky causing the rain !
How could I drain
In tears longing for the love that is lost
And understand the importance of dust !
Finally I eared to a murmur
It was the harbinger of hope, it was
The rhythm of summer
