ରାତି ପାହେ ଆମ ଗାଁ ଚାଳର ଫାଙ୍କାରେ,
ଗୋବରର ଲିପାପୋଛା ମାଟି ପିଣ୍ଡା ମା’ର ହାତରେ।
ଆମ ଗାଁ ନଈ ପଠା ସବୁଜିମା ସୁନେଲୀ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତର,
ବିଲ ବଣ ବେଣାପାଟ କାଶଦଣ୍ଡୀ ଫୁଲର ଚାଦର।
ଆମ ଗାଁ ଜହ୍ନରାତି ଦାଣ୍ଡପାଖ ଅଗଣାରେ ଖେଳେ,
ନଡ଼ିଆ ବାହୁଙ୍ଗା ସବୁ ଫିସ୍ ଫିସ୍ କଥା ହେବାବେଳେ।
ଆମ ଗାଁ ଶୀତ ରାତି ଚୋର ପରି ଛପି ଛପି ଆସେ,
କିଆ କେତକୀ ସୁବାସେ ଚଉଦିଗ ମହାକେ।
ସଞ୍ଜ ହେଲେ ଘଣ୍ଟା ବାଜେ ଗାଁ ମୁଣ୍ଡ ଦାମପେଡି ଘରେ,
ଘିଅ ଦୀପ ଜଳିଉଠେ ଆମ ଘର ଚଉଁରା ମୂଳରେ।
ପହିଲି ଆଷାଢ଼ ଯେବେ ବର୍ଷିଯାଏ ଗାଁ ଦାଣ୍ଡ ଗୋଧୂଳି ଲଗନେ,
ବସ୍ନାୟିତ ଓଦା ମାଟି ଆଣିଦିଏ ପୁଲକିତ ସବୁରି ପରାଣେ।
ସ୍ୱାଧୀନ ହୋଇଛୁ ଆମେ ବିତିଲାଣି ଅନେକ ବରଷ,
କାହିଁ ଗଲା ଜୀବନର ଆମର ହରଷ।
ଗାଁ କିନ୍ତୁ ବଦଳିଛି ବଦଳିନି ତାହାର ସ୍ୱରୂପ,
ବଦଳିଛି ଗାଁ ଦାଣ୍ଡେ ପାର୍ବଣର ଅପୂର୍ବ ଚମକ।
ଟାଉଟରି, ଧୋକା ବାଜି, ହିଂସା ଦ୍ୱେଷ,ମାଲିମକଦ୍ଦମା,
ରାଜନୀତି ନାମରେ ଆଜି ବଦଳିଛି ଗାଁ ମା’ର ଶାନ୍ତି।
ଗାଁ ଦାଣ୍ଡ କାନ୍ଥରେ ଶୁଭେ ଆଜି ଶୃଗାଳର ବିକଟ ଚିତ୍କାର,
ବିଧବାର ଶବ୍ଦହୀନ ପଦଧ୍ୱନି ଚାରିଆଡ଼େ ଆମ ଅନ୍ଧକାର।
ଶୁଭୁନାହିଁ ଘଣ୍ଟା ଶଙ୍ଖ କାର୍ତ୍ତିକର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ଅାରତୀ,
ସ୍ମୃତିର ଫିସିଲ୍ ତଳେ ଦିଶେ ଖାଲି ଜହ୍ନରାତି।
ଅତିକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ବୟସରେ ଭାରି ଆଜି ମନେପଡେ ଗାଁର କଥା,
ସମୟ ଯାଉଛି,ମଣିଷ ବଦଳୁଛି,ମୁଁ ବି ବଦଳୁଛି କିନ୍ତୁ ବଦଳୁ ନାହିଁ ମୋର ଗାଁ।
ଭୁଲି ନାହିଁ, ନଭୁଲିବି କେବେ ମୁହିଁ ଗାଁର ମମତା।
